Their recent acquisition of Adaptiv Networks, now SC//Connect™, adds SD-WAN and SASE capabilities that complement Scale Computing’s SC//AcuVigil™ Managed Network Solutions. Together, these solutions provide a full stack edge computing platform built on SC//Platform™ hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), providing a viable VMware alterative.
SC//Connect™ provides SD-WAN and SASE capabilities, offering unbreakable cloud connectivity. In a demonstration video, a firewall failing over from regular internet to 5G experiences up to 35 seconds of lag and noticeable disruption. In contrast, with SC//Connect™ SD-WAN prioritizing the Microsoft Teams conference call application, failover occurs with no noticeable interruption in the video quality.
SC//AcuVigil™ Network as a Service delivers managed networking, monitoring, and compliance through a single unified dashboard for hundreds of thousands of locations. It is remarkably cost effective for the value it provides, especially when compared to competing solutions that can charge 10 times or higher. Built in PCI and other compliance reporting tools help with your audits, while 24/7 managed network operations support is combined with self-service visibility and control. This gives multi-site operators a unified, effortless way to monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize every connection across their network.
